Exeter once had a rep for attracting rich kids who couldn’t make it to Oxbridge, but it’s slightly more mixed these days with a stunning, leafy setting a mile from the city to make up for the odd spot of class warfare... more detail Exeter’s 31 academic departments all have fairly sexy reputations, and its whopping library has a number of intriguing special collections... more on academic Exeter itself has an ample selection of shops, cafés and even some half-decent clubs. On campus the Ram bar is hugely popular all day, and each hall has its own drinking hole. Musically, the Great Hall is one of the biggest venues in the South West and attracts top indie acts... more on entertainment The Exeter Students’ Guild has an impressive newspaper, while media types can be in heaven with uni-produced TV and radio stations... more on the SG Sporty types do well here, thanks to recent cash injections and generous scholarships... more on sports Plush, expensive halls keep all freshers snug and living out is easy too...more on housing All buildings have disabled access, but despite their helpful attitude staff can’t level the hills – it’s a bumpy campus... more on welfare

It’s seriously a great Uni. Going out is quite good especially during student nights - I’m from London and trust me I know how good partying can get. Housing, well it depends you can get off pretty lightly if sharing with friends - could be cheaper though. Booze is well cheap, people get wasted all the time! Uni is great for sports and excellent studying environment, they have just redone the main library and wow they have done a great job! Also Uni provides many bursaries and stuff so it can help with your finances. Jobs, well there is a high turnover of students so part-time jobs are always going. Tell you the truth, my friends in Universities in big cities are finding it harder to find jobs as the locals are looking too! Great scenery and great for student life - Brilliant Uni, cheap living (no need to pay for travel, everything based locally). Recommend strongly as its the best choice I could have ever made!
