PUSH POLL
How amazing is Holly's poll?
How brilliant is this poll? Is it the best you've ever had?
UWE (that’s University of the West of England, incidentally) is divided into four roughly self-contained campuses with its largest five miles north of Bristol city centre and others spread out around it. The University’s a bit fragmented, but a safe, middle-class feeling prevails everywhere ...more detail There’s a slight techie bias, although UWE’s also competent in more arty, squishy humanities-based subjects. Every site has a library and IT rooms, although students quibble that there aren’t enough computers to go round ... more on academic The Escape Bar is the social hub, but Red stays open late and hosts plenty of local bands and a few big names. There’s the musical, pubby and nautically themed delights of Bristol too ... more on entertainment The SU has outposts at every site and all but one has some sort of drinking den ... more on the SU The uni has a fearsome urge to put one over on its sporty neighbour, Bristol, and has just massively bolstered its sporting arsenal with new facilities ... more on sports First years are guaranteed accommodation and the lucky ones end up in the newly erected student village on campus ... more on housing
Woohoo: Lakes of supportive cash sloshing around Boo: Subsidiary sites can feel a touch lonely Tel: (0117) 328 3333 E-mail: admissions@uwe.ac.uk Website: www.uwe.ac.uk
